Starting from an analysis on durational performances, the conversation will focus on the importance of time in contemporary art and in the particular on time in queer hemisphere from Felix Gonzalez Torres to Francesco Vezzoli since to the last works presented in Venice Biennale this year. Through the presentation of Miliani’s work, which crosses various languages of visual arts, dance, installation, cinema, and music, the talk will address on the relation of time with queer esthetics since, as he say, to think queerly is always an act of resistance to death. “Queer time means to don’t think linearly, to fuse elements of past (Pierrot) with the present of a body in action. To melt Voguing with Pasolini to start with the beauty of the classical dancing masculine body to distort its shape through the fatigue and time”.
