The new work of the dance artist Ana Kreitmeyer is created in cooperation with the performers Petra Chelfi, Ivana Pavlović and Martina Tomić; and deals with the idea of choreography as common places of encounter, and the ways of (self) organisation of choreography as a place of work, negotiations, communion, but also of fatigue, stoppage and resignation and resistance. Nevertheless, we wonder how to think of dance and choreography as our common space and work? How do we share responsibility for sharing?
Ana Kreitmeyer is a dance artist, performer and author. The interest for the body she explors trough various practices, from performing to choreographic, from pedagogical to social. Since 2003 she has been working within the BADco collective, mostly performing, sometimes as co-author and choreographer, in a series of plays and other works, performances, symposia, presentations, installations, lectures, workshops. She is the author of the play “Out there and in here” “Towards beginning,” “Stops”, “KontAkt 1”, “Drunken woods” and the short choreography “Maybe once”. She has been engaged in the public activities of the dance scene in Zagreb, and for many years she has been working through the governing bodies of the Croatian Association of Dance Artists (UPUH) and is currently acting as the president of the association.
