\nWhile smoking his shisha in a qahwa or coffee house in Cairo, Egyptian Dutch journalist and story teller Mounir Samuel will reveal his personal journey as a trans man. Being born and raised as the oldest daughter of both of his families, and being a well known public figure back in the Netherlands, he transitioned in front of the Dutch public and his Egyptian family from a pretty Dutch woman into an unwanted and threatening Arab man. The real transition is not his own to make, but that of the mindset of the people around him. His transition however gave Mounir also an unique insight in the highly segregated world of gender in the Arab speaking world, revealing mysteries and hidden secrets of both sides while not only bridging the gap but superseding it. This is a unique show on a life story never told, but for this one night only.<\/p>\n
