Party conversation

Vodi filmske i kreativno-ekološke radionice s djecom i mladima.

Soundtrack of the silent: Sound H

Soundtrack of the silent: Sound H is the beginning of shaping, synthesizing and materializing silent sounds. Hydrogen is a chemical element that in the periodic system of elements carries the symbol H and is ordinal number 1. It makes 75% of the mass of the universe, has no color, smell, taste or sound. How to hear hydrogen? From a visibility experiment to the sound of the hydrogen atoms spectral lines, the performative installation is devoted to the research of its existence, and is the first step in the sound series dealing with sounding formulas, elements, particles, movements and ideas. The work was created in cooperation with Ana Kontrec from the Department of Mathematics and Tomislav Smolčić with the mentorship of prof. Dalibor Paar from the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

Luana Loić graduated in 2016 at the Department of Animated Film and New Media at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. She works with applied biophillia. From poetry for stones to live installations, videos, movies and live art that focus on human relationships with the systems, perceptions and materialities surrounding them, in her work she seeks to understand the natural processes outside and within the concept of the senses. She is the founder of an art collective for the interdisciplinary activities of science and art called Ljubavnice.

Behind Red

By performing, I materialize my stiffness in the environment and society that is mostly indifferent to contemporary creative expressions. Shame comes from trying to introduce myself to someone and tell him what I’m doing. Shame is also due to the fact that I find it difficult to finda job in my profession. In this work I create artifacts of shame and pain by imprinting in my own blood all that makes my identity – things on me and in my bag such as identity card, student index, employment record book, health card, condoms, arts association membership card, as many coins as I have in the wallet, the food I carry in the bag, etc. Some prints will be clear, but most of them will become bloody abstract stains. During the printing I will try to present myself to the audience and describe the themes and the focus of my artistic creation.

Nikolina Butorac graduated in 2012 at the Department of Animated Film and New Media, under the mentorship of Andreja Kulunčić. Since 2007 she has participated in numerous group exhibitions and festivals, as well as in performative projects and art workshops. In 2014. she had a resideny in Finland where she created a participatory installation of herbs in collaboration with elementary school students. She is the author of video and film works and numerous performances and actions in the public space. She holds film and creative-ecological workshops with children and young people. In 2016, she participated in the art lab Ars Kozara in BiH, with land art installation:„A moment now“. In 2017, she went to a residency in Portugal, in the artistic organization Cultivamos Cultura where she made the spatial installation „When did I fall in love with the knowledge?“.
