The last “Silent Mass”
December 6, 2025, Ban Jelačić Square, 8:30 a.m.
Three years.
38 women murdered.
No change.
Without protection.
Without political will.
This Saturday, December 6 , artist Arijana Lekić-Fridrih and the Domino Association will hold the last “Silent Mass” in public space — an act of resistance, mourning, and testimony to the violence that Croatia still fails to stop. Arijana will lay 38 roses for the 38 lives lost in the last three years. Since no progress has been made in three years, nor is there any political will to protect women and defend the Constitution, the Domino Association has been initiating legal proceedings since January. This means that the “Silent Mass” does not end — only its performance in public space ends. From now on, the “Silent Mass” will take place through the courts, as an act of resistance within a system that we claim has failed.
