Amateur Shklova of Povetry, although a completely marginal phenomenon in Croatian literature, is painfully aware of its responsibility towards the avant-garde heritage of estrangement. The awareness of this heritage itself, of course, does not necessarily guarantee its transmission, but it certainly implies the celebration of the sacred mystery of Reading, the cultivation of artistic self-criticism, doubt towards the category of success and the imagining of collective poetic work.
Aneta Vladimirov was born in 1980 in Bosilegrad, a small town on the Serbian-Bulgarian border. She graduated in sociology from the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. She has been living in Croatia since 2006. She is the author of two collections of poems – Pakao ne možeš poljubiti da prodži and KostFutura published by Jesenski and Turk. Together with Betina Ilić Grički, she initiated the Amateur Shklova of Povetry. She loves living and working in Zagreb!
Betina Ilić , born in 1975 in Borken, Germany. She lives and works in Zagreb, she is a kindergarten teacher. She published a poetry collection Bilješke iz Petrova šume (2017) published by Kreativni sindikat. She published the short story Šećer za kraj in the joint collection Decameron 2020 – Priče iz karantene, published by Kulturni front. Her short story Petrova šume was the subject of an award-winning animated film by Martina Meštrović. She has published poetry in Zarez, as well as on several other digital sites. For the past few years, she has been leading experimental poetry workshops “Amateur Shklova of Povetry” with her friend and poet Aneta Vladimirov. Her second collection, working title Okvir kratkog života je san, is currently in preparation. In her free time, she is looking for even more free time.
