Alana S. Portero (Madrid, 1978) is a historian by profession, an expert in medieval history. She is a writer, playwright, theatre director and co-founder of the theatre group STRIGA. She writes for various media outlets on culture, feminism and LGBT activism with a specific focus on the reality of trans women, such as Agente Provocador, Eldiario.es, El Salto Diario, SModa and Vogue, and on her own Patreon profile. Bad Habit is her first novel, which has been translated into English, Italian, Portuguese, French, Dutch and German.
Nikolina Židek (Zagreb, 1976) graduated in Spanish and Italian language and literature and received her MA in conference translation in Madrid and Buenos Aires. She also holds a MA in international studies and a PhD from the Complutense University of Madrid. She has translated more than thirty drama texts, including the collections “Siete dramas croatas contemporáneos” (2013), “Teatro croata” (2015) and “Teatro croata contemporáneo” (2018), as well as collections of foreign dramas translated into Croatian. She has received numerous awards, including the Teatro del Mundo awards and the Alfred de Musset Award. She is a member of the Society of Croatian Literary Translators, the Croatian Center for ITI, and the coordinator of the BCMS Eurodrama Commission. She is the founder of the website TeaCro, dedicated to Croatian drama translated into Spanish.
Zvonimir Dobrović is the president and artistic director of the Domino association based in Zagreb, where he continuously develops the organization’s artistic programs (over 60 events per year), builds international recognition and secures the budget for the organization’s constant growth. He is also responsible for cross-sectoral cooperation between the organization and a large number of stakeholders (NGOs, art, politics, media). Founder, producer and curator of the performing arts festivals Queer Zagreb (since 2003) and Perforations (since 2009). In 2012, he launched the Queer New York International Arts Festival. He is the editor of the Domino library, which has over 40 LGBTIQ+ titles, which are still a rarity on the shelves of Croatian bookstores. He was the producer of the world-renowned performing artist Raimund Hoghe from 2011 to 2014.
