An encore performance of Once Upon a Time Tomorrow will take place at the Zagreb Dance Centre on Friday, February 27 at 8:00 PM.
The performance Once Upon a Time Tomorrow refuses to settle within time. It also often refuses to settle within space. It constantly rearranges it, just as it rearranges the possible meanings that can be inscribed into the relationship between two people.
We do not know whether they are a couple, siblings, old friends who have grown together, or merely strangers brought into a moment of encounter by chance. Even they do not know everything; they know only that they are traveling somewhere—somewhere toward tomorrow.
It is precisely through this uncertainty that a space is created for questioning closeness, distance, and everything that lies in between. Between silences and pauses, between the meters that separate them, between the meanings of words that keep changing their order. The fragments filling these in-between spaces are composed of memories—real and imagined—of touches, both their own and those of others, of songs, temporal fractures, and perpetual migrations. The ambiguity of whether they exist in each other’s past, future, or present encourages them to reappear nonetheless.
