FIX me! is a full length Contemporary Acro/Dance production by Ben Grinberg & Hazem Header. An American Jewish Acrobat, An Egyptian Muslim Dancer and Choreographers, finding, loving and using each other. FIX me! Is a dance theater piece that explores queer male impulses across disparate cultural contexts and sheds light on the preciousness of intimacy, free expressions and relationships. FIX me! was originally created as a 20 minute duet that was performed only once in Cairo, Egypt during the 5th edition of Breaking Walls Festival. Despite being queer in Egypt is not illegal, but the local authorities has put lots of restrictions and censorship laws in order to control what is been shown to the public, especially when it comes to art, everything has to be done according to The Egyptian authorities’ standard which makes queer art in Egypt a rare thing to witness.
