Do it within your own four walls

Behind this phrase—too often heard when speaking about LGBTIQ+ rights—lies the homophobic core of heteronormative ideology. Young photographer Luka Pešun critically reclaims it as the title of his photographic series, now on view in the window of Domino’s office at Petrinjska 38, Zagreb.
Created as his graduate project under the mentorship of professor Dario Petković at the Academy of Dramatic Art, the series portrays LGBTIQ+ individuals in their everyday domestic moments. Through these intimate images, Pešun exposes the chronic marginalisation of those who do not conform to dominant social norms — and the silencing of their daily lives in public discourse.
