Welcome to the political performance database!
This database is the result of research into the history of political performance in Croatia. It contains an overview of some of the most prominent political performances, happenings and actions from the 1960s to the present day. By reviewing available literature and catalogs, and through conversations with the artists themselves and people close to them, the research team described the selected performances, their socio-political context and resonance, and collected accompanying visual materials and newspaper clippings.
The database serves to document engaged artistic practices, which is why it is always open to additions and upgrades, in order to map the topography of political performance in Croatia as accurately and up-to-date as possible.
